My 2015 Oscar Predictions
Here’s a list of films I think will win at the Academy Awards. I’ll update daily/weekly leading up to Feb 22.
UPDATED 02/20/2015
Current climate breakdown:
- American Sniper, Selma, Foxcatcher, The Theory of Everything, The Grand Budapest Hotel, won’t win much, likely due to poor PR or lack of momentum.
- Birdman deserves to clean house, but it’s likely not to.
- Why Birdman or Gone Girl was not nominated for Best Editing is beyond me.
- Also, Gone Girl deserves Best Adapted Screenplay, shocked it wasn’t nominated.
Predictions:
Best Picture: Birdman
This might be a stretch because it wasn’t nominated for Best Editing. It would have to break the cycle of every best picture winner is also nominated for best editing. This could be the year, though.
